Interlacing
Posted by Sean Simms on January 6, 2012 at 9:20 pmI am using DVD studio pro 4. I imported a fcp mov reference file and it made an mpeg file….when I play it in the DVD Studio Pro viewer area it looks fine but when I put it into the simulator it plays with interlaced lines. How can I change this?
Sincerely,
Eros Salvatore

January 6, 2012 at 9:32 pmQuality cannot be judged in Simulator, test a build in DVD Player software or better burn a disc.
You need to give more info. What did you make the mpeg movie? Is it a m2v? What is your source files?

Did you test the way I said?

The source is mini-dv SD 720×480, DVCPRO NTSC, 29.97 fps, Lover (Even) Filed Dominance (I tried changing Field Dominance to None but it didn’t help.
Just finished the burn, everything is okay…….

Computer screens are not meant to display interlaced material correctly.
