I am using DVD studio pro 4. I imported a fcp mov reference file and it made an mpeg file….when I play it in the DVD Studio Pro viewer area it looks fine but when I put it into the simulator it plays with interlaced lines. How can I change this?

    Sincerely,

Quality cannot be judged in Simulator, test a build in DVD Player software or better burn a disc.

You need to give more info. What did you make the mpeg movie? Is it a m2v? What is your source files?

yes its an m2v…dvd studio pro made it automatically after I imorted the fcp reference file (not self-contained)

If you want real answers give real information and settings. If you cannot there is no way to help you.

Did you test the way I said?

    What settings do you want?

The source is mini-dv SD 720×480, DVCPRO NTSC, 29.97 fps, Lover (Even) Filed Dominance (I tried changing Field Dominance to None but it didn’t help.

Just finished the burn, everything is okay…….

Reference or self-contained makes no diff.

Computer screens are not meant to display interlaced material correctly.
Don’t judge your video on the computer screen.
