[dannunzio] “Would I get better quality if I were to shoot 60i, 30p or 24p.”

All depends on what you’re doing and your final output. I prefer 60i for most of our work, though some show we work with are shot in 24p and 30p. For most corporate work I would think that 60i would be your main goal, no need for the “film, cinematic” look unless your project specfically calls for it.

[dannunzio] “What is the difference between Interlaced and progressive?”

Interlaced is Field Based video made up of two fields to create one frame. Progressive is made up of Frame based material where all information for the frame is displayed at once.

You really need to do some research on your own time on this one to fully understand it and how it affects your post. We also have a Final Cut Basics forum and some High Def forums around here with a lot of information in them as well.
