interlaced or progressive
When I export a movie in Premiere (CS3)to later import in an Encore project, I always export from Premiere as avi (interlaced – lower field first) that´s the default.
I notice that when I run the DVD in a TV set, the image is ok and runs smooth. But when I run the DVD in a computer, the line fields appears in images with movement and the captions and lettering are somehow jagged.
What´s the best setup to export a movie from Premiere to Encore in order it can play ok in a computer and in a TV set? -

Your software DVD player is at fault here. A good software DVD player will deinterlace the footage for computer playback so that you don’t see any interlacing artifacts.
