I’ve been editing a project with footage from the Canon C100. The footage came up as 29.97 and I imported it as DNxHD. I just exported a pro res 444, and much of the footage looks interlaced. Apparently, the cameraman shot fp30 (AVCHD). I did some digging online and learned that “The Canon C100 only records 24p in native 23.98. The other framerates (30PF, 25PF) are PsF and recorded in an interlaced wrapper.” Has anyone had experience with this? I have an impending deadline and need to get this colored and out the door.

    I’m reasonably certain it can record 1920 x 1080 60i as well

You most likely shot 29.97fps interlace which is 1080i. PsF is only a means of transport for progressive material and is handled as progressive within the NLE.
