I am working with the JVC GY HD110 and when shooting in SD mode the only option is SD-60i, which of course is interlaced when I inport my footage into Final Cut Pro. Does anyone have a solution to shooting in SD mode with this camera without getting interlaced footage? Thanks for any help.

It will shoot 24p (over 60i) and it will shoot 24pa (over 60i).
There is no such thing as SD 24p on it’s own.

Both 24p and 24pa are captured to DV tape as 60i files.

24p is captured into your NLE as 29.97fps.

24pa is captured with the ‘Advanced Pulldown Removal 2:3:3:2’ to actually pull a 23.987 file from 60i.

All DV cameras that shoot 24p or 24pa use this method period.
