I have never seen this before

I am outputing a project for DVD from Sony Vegas using the DVD Architect wide screen preset. When I do I get this weird ghosting effect that is best seen in the guitar string of the clip here:

:00 to :13 is rendered interlaced
:13 to :26 is rendered Progressive

    Source video is AVCHD 1080i60

It doesnt matter if i render it as mpeg2 or DV avi, if i render it interlaced I get that weird ghosting.

If I render it as HDV 720p30 and then to mpeg2 then its fine

    Here is the options screens:

What is your de-interlace method set to in your project properties: None, blend or interpolate? I set it to blend for my DVD output

I didnt think Project Properties affected the output?
