I have found that adding a drop shadow to text by using the Effect Stylize Drop Shadow renders much faster than using the Titler Drop Shadow. This might help some of you under a time crunch.

Example title is 5 lines of size 28 text in Arial Narrow such as you might use for a disclaimer and is 5 seconds long in a 1080i project.

    Text with no DS :22
    Text with Titler DS 1:46
    Text with Stylize DS :22

    Huge difference.

Thanks Mark. I sent feedback to Apple about adding the ability to save user presets because I find it fiddly to tweak the shadow. I know I can copy and paste the attributes but it would be handy to have a pre-set when first starting out I think.
