Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 + Intel Ivy Bridge eXtensible USB 3.0 Controller
Common knowledge that the Shuttle only works currently with controllers by Renesas and Fresco. I’m looking to buy a new laptop, but the problem is that almost every new 3rd generation Intel laptop out there is using Intel’s new USB 3.0 controller that is a part of Ivy Bridge, the eXtensible controller. I have been searching endlessly and can not find any results of testing with this. Does anyone know if the Shuttle will work or not with the eXtensible controller? Not even Blackmagic’s support staff knows if it will work or not.
Currently using a Dell Inspirson 14R 2nd Gen with my Shuttle but really need to upgrade. Would rather not have to settle for a Sandy Bridge laptop when the Ivy is available at not a bad price, since they offer a pretty good performance increase in general.

I’m hoping for an answer here too, since the MS Surface is using Ivy Bridge as well and would make a dapper little streaming device, wouldn’t it?
