Installed an Intensity Pro with multiple problems on the following specs:

    AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 6000+
    Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4
    Nvidia 8800 GTS 320Mb
    Windows Vista Home Prem 64-bit
    550w power supply

After installing, my PC sounds stopped working. Still, I was able to connect HDMI and hear audio through BM Media Express prior to recording. But playback audio would go off when recording. The audio would record to the avi file fine, and I could hear it in playback. But now for some reason the audio has failed completely, and I cannot hear audio at any time. The BM Decklink Audio driver claims to be working properly, but when I test it in the Sound panel there is no sound. Mobo audio driver Realtek Audio still works perfectly when I set it to default sound device. Furthermore, I can get no input from the RGB cables or RCA audio sound, even when I change to Y,R-Y,B-Y & RCA audio in the intensitycp. This seems to have occurred after a firmware upgrade. I have tried the following:

    * Installed the card to a different PCIe slot. Same result.
    * Re-installed Windows, performed all updates, installed Nvidia drivers, then Intensity pro. Same problem.

Main problem is that I am spending all my time trying to fix this rather than get my project done. Should I exchange the card for a new one? Any tech advice or fix theories welcome. I almost feel like something has muted or turned the sound all the way down, but taskbar the audio is at max and not muted.

I have similar problems with BM Intensity (Not Pro). I read on another tread that you should first uninstall your audio drivers and then install the intensity card which will load its own drivers. I disabled my on board audio and that solved some issues. I have other issues but I haven’t figured out if it’s related to the Intensity card. I have to find out how compatible it is with my Mobo (Tyan Thunder s2895) dual openterons. so if any one knows has tried this let me know. hope this helps you.
