    Hi,

I was just wanting to confirm that the Intensity Pro is NOT cmpatible with a G5 Quad. Is there any plans to make it compatible in the future if it is not?

    Thanks for your time.

Consider that confirmed. The Intensity Pro, like the Intensity will not work properly on any Power PC system.

Please understand that this is an incompatibility/limitation that we at Blackmagic Design do NOT like. And we are working to change it. Unfortunately it is one of those cases where the ball is in someone else’s court right now.

And while I would love to tell you I think there is a solution around the corner it is worth noting this has been the situation since the product launched.

Wish I had better news on that.

    Sincerely,
    Joshua

    Hi Joshua,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply, appreciate it. As for the Insensity Pro, unfortunate that it is out of your hands. It is a perfect fit for what I wanted to do with our University suites which are unfortnately G5’s. Wanted those component in and outs. Thanks again.

Yup…I completely understand. Please do not take my answer to mean that we have given up on it. To the contrary. This is an ACTIVE item on our list of things to get working.

Thanks for the update Joshua. I had given up hope for the Intensity Pro on a G5.
