Intensity Pro + Dell 2407WFP-HC
Hi,
I’m having issues with a new Intensity Pro card in a new Mac Pro system but thought I’d post in a different thread in case my problem is due to my monitor. I can’t seem to get my Intensity card to monitor anything from Final Cut Pro (Studio 2) through HDMI??
I actually have 2 Dell 2407WFP-HCs that I am currently using as a dual monitor setup with an NVidia 8800GT – main screen on DVI and 2nd screen on VGA – I also have the 2nd screen’s DVI hooked up to a DVI->HDMI adapter and then to an HDMI cable going into the output HDMI on the Intensity Pro.
I have the 1.8.4 Mac OSX driver installed (which btw got rid of the fans going nut in my machine after shut off, like they did with the 1.8.2 driver). I’m obviously using the “All Frames” in FCP but to no avail. Nothing comes out of the DVI – or at least my Dell goes to power sleep when I switch to that input. my 1080i50 project does preview into the monitors Component input but it is stretched to 1200 high instead of 1080 and the quality is not great– hence me trying to get the HDMI working.
Does anyone here use these monitors to monitor with FCP and the intensity? I recall someone saying in a search that it might be that some revisions of my monitor doesn’t support that? Does anyone here know if that is so in particular? If anyone tells me this can’t be done with this monitor (or that it’s inferior for this sort of monitoring for editing and grading) – can anyone suggest a better but reasonably priced monitor that does work with the Intensity Pro for pixel-for-pixel monitoring of FCP?
thanks for any and all help or links, 🙂
Sam
