Does anyone know anything about the Intensity Pro breakout cable? I can’t find anything online that says if it has male or female BNC connectors on it.

If no one knows, could anyone who ordered one already let me know when it comes in the mail? I wanted to order the right cables and adapters at the same time I got the card, but I can’t do that at the moment.

    Thanks!

for any breakout cable, the ends are standard BNC’s, so they can be plugged into the back of your VTR or TV monitor. If you wish to extend these, you need standard BNC barrel connectors. If you intend to plug these into your local VTR or TV monitor, you don’t need to buy anything. However, if you wish to extend these lines (because your VTR is in a machine room, or your monitor is on the wall 25′ away from you), you need PROFESSIONAL BNC cables, and a BNC barrel for each connection. You can order cables like this from standard broadcast supply houses like Markertek, and Pacific Radio. You CANNOT go to “Joes ultra discount coax cables”, because this won’t do.

There’s a photo of a breakout cable at this website. All connections are RCA https://www.4videoequipment.com/video/store2/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=9339&E=Blackmagic+Design-Blackmagic+Intensity+Pro+-+High+Definition+HDMI+I/O+Capture

I’m a bit surprised but also not really as this is a consumer card. However, I’m very surprised as this website has a photo of the breakout cable as the Black Magic website does not and I couldn’t get one from them even with a request via email.

If this is indeed the Intensity Pro breakout cable, get male RCA to bnc adaptors and make your own bnc cables.

    Jeff and Craig –
I am embarassed (and very surprised) that I foolishly assumed that this cable had BNC connectors on it. Once again, you can purchase pre-fab RCA male to BNC male cables from lots of companies like B+H and Markertek.

Thanks for the find! I’d spent some time searching the ‘net and this is the first I’d seen of a photo anywhere.
