    Hey,

I bought the intensity Pro card and a Eizo Flexscan HD2411 Lcd TV for my HD project, that works fine for me.

However i got still SD projects going on sometimes…

I know it is possible to view SD on a HDTV(trought HDMI), but it gets scaled and quality is poor.

I was wandering if i can connect a simple (non-flatscreen) tv, because i cant effort a Jvc monitor or something else, for SD editing.
Yes? how do i connect it?

I dont now much of this things.

    MrT.

Connect it through your deck or camcorder FireWire > Deck > TV via composite cables (RCA) or S-Video.

So there is no way to do this via the intensity card?
Because i dont have a deck and not a camera at the moment.

I dont have a deck because they diliver most of the stuff on external discs.

    Hi Wally,
The Intensity Card comes with a breakout cable, so you could use that for analog monitoring.

    From the website: https://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/

    Highest Quality Analog Connections
The included break-out cable connects Intensity Pro to all types of analog video and audio equipment. This gives you full compatibility with analog component, NTSC, PAL, S-Video and analog audio.

    Ok thank you Kevin.

So what cable exactly do i need to get for the tv(lets say a sony 4/3 tv) and to which one go’s were in the breakout cable?
    Is the quality be ok?

Same for a SD monitor(for example SONY PVM or so)

It for previewing DV, DV-CAM, XD-CAM footage to be more clear..

I’d use the RGB component connections if you have them on your broadcast monitor, S-Video secondarily. I use S-Video when using DV NTSC, since my DV deck doesn’t have component out. If it’s a cheap TV, you might try the S-Video connector. Composite video as a last result. For audio, looks like you’ve got RCA. If you don’t know which cables are which, consult the manual. You can probably figure it out though.
