Here’s something that would be a real benefit to the Intensity driver:

When using the Intensity’s SD downconversion mode in Final Cut Pro, it would be great if Intensity would automatically shift 720×480 footage up or down one pixel to maintain proper field order when playing out NTSC (720×486) via the component analog outputs. AJA Kona cards do this, while Intensity does not.

Currently, the only way I can get a DV (720×480) resolution video to play back with the proper field order is to nest it in a 720×486 sequence. This is cumbersome and unnecessary.

    Update:

I just updated to the latest driver and this issue has been corrected.

    Another update:

After a Pro App update and a restart, the field order on 720×480 sources is wrong again. Reinstalling the latest driver again didn’t help.

    Hopefully the final update:

After powering off the system, the field order has subsequently been correct for 720×480 material displayed using the 720×486 output setting, so apparently the required field shift is being applied.
