I’m trying to record voiceover using Intensity’s break-out unbalanced RCA analog cables, but doesn’t get any signals. In audio panel > Sound in, i can see and choose “Intensity Audio”, but the volym-in indicator doesn’t show any audio at all. I can record through Mac line-in, but not intensity… any clues.!?

    Hi Dick,

Intensity goes either into capture OR playback mode and not both. When you try and capture audio via Final Cut Pro’s VO Tool, the card needs to to be placed in capture mode. However, the default configuration in Final Cut Pro puts the card in playback mode, hence you don’t get audio input.

To record using the VO tool, you’ll need to go into the View > External Video menu option and select “None”.

Hmm, if I don’t use or have FCP and want to record through Soundbooth and/ or premiere. How do I tell the card to go into rec mode.? Right now, I can’t even get a input signal in the sound panel.!?

I’m also having this problem and I’m trying to use Soundtrack Pro. It’s been a few years since the last post so any new ideas?
