Hey has anyone had color problems with the intel encoder sdk plugin for adobe premiere and adobe media encoder?

Is this from a yuv to rgb conversion?

Would I be better off exporting to a lossless codec, then using graph edit or something?

Love the intel sdk encoder, the speed is unreal on my 2600k, but the color change is ridiculous.

Plus the bitrate in vbr mode is basically ignored by the encoder.

I’d like to see a 2 pass with subpixel motion estimation and keyframe distance options.

    I get jittery moving images.

Also does everyone keep the profile settings on auto, or do you specific 5.1/etc?

    Thank you!

Take a look at these two different images. First is uncompressed, second is after intel’s plugin.

    Thanks.

The problem is anyone else was wondering was with adobe not supporting a certain color space in the plugin api, and intel converting the color space.

Intel doesn’t want to do anything about it because it’s just a proof of concept thing.

So everyone should yell at adobe!

As far as installation, for the plugin, simply search intel sdk encoder premiere pro plugin, install the plugin in your plugins folder, then output some fast, wrong color.

Alternatively, you can download something like mediacoder and it will install it for you, but and you wont have color issues because no adobe.

You need a sandybridge motherboard capable of discreet graphics emulation though. I think z68
