  • Intel D955XCS or D975XBX and software raid possible for UC HD?

I’m trying to set up Premiere Pro 2.0 on an Intel D955XCS or D975XBX(as recommended by Blackmagic for HD) motherboard for editing HDV and potentially for capturing uncompressed HD over HD-SDI using a Decklink card.

The Intel website indicates the following regarding raid support for the two PCIe motherboards I am considering.

D975XCS: “Four Serial ATA interfaces with RAID support (four additional interfaces available with optional discrete RAID controller)”

D955XCS: “Four Serial ATA interfaces with RAID support”

Which (if any) processor and motherboard combination is capable of handling uncompressed HD using software raid in Windows?
