I have a a brand new 24″ iMac / 2.66 GHz / 4G RAM. I want to purchase Final Cut Studio 3. My system meets all the requirements except “Intel Integrated Graphic card not supported”. How will FCS3 run on my machine? Can I get anything out of Motion or Color, or am I better off saving my money and going with FC Express? Thank you for your help.

though my experience the iMacs are really more for Graphic Design not hardcore HD video editing, I wouldn’t be surprised if FCP 3 was designed not to run on the iMac specs.

FInal Cut 7 runs great on my iMac 24″ 2.93 GHz with the NVidia GT 120 graphics card.

The NVIdia GE Force 9400M integrated graphics card in the newer Macs is much faster than the integrated graphics on older Macs, and is 3D and Blu-ray capable. It’s a better graphics card than the original graphics card that shipped with my Mac Pro.
