I’m having trouble trying to capture something. I’m working on a project…it’s a large project, and as I’m trying to ingest more material I’m getting an error saying “INSUFFICIENT DISK SPACE REMAINING IN THE CAPTURE SCRATCH”. I’ve cleaned a lot of stuff off my disc, however I’m still getting the error.

    Any ideas?

    Brad

    Hi Brad,
Are you sure you are clearing things off of the drive that you are scratching to?
Shift Q will open your System Settings, and let you confirm exactly where your scratch is. Generally, your scratch isn’t (and shouldn’t be) on your system drive.

How much space is left on the scratch disk? Is it an external drive? How large is it? How much space is left?

    Please don’t double post.

    All the best,

    Tom

An Internal Drive. It’s 1TB, I’ve deleted tons of files and now have 549.77 GB available.

My other drive is a 640GB drive and I have 174GB available.

Sorry for the DOUBLE…didn’t know if I was posting in the right spot.

It WAS, and no longer IS! But yeah, I’ve trashed a ton of stuff and all is good…for now! I’m still a relative newby to Final Cut Pro, so still learning some stuff!!!

    Thanks for the help.
