Instant Replay
We shoot a lot of sport events that require instant replay. We’ve been using a NewTek Tricaster but aren’t very pleased with it.
We’re looking at other, more “purpose built” switchers with built-in graphics capabilities, and we need an instant replay solution to replace the Tricaster’s.
The only option we know of currently is to bring the video into a Mac or PC, capture it in an NLE, and then scrub to the point in the action we want to replay.
What are the best ways to do instant replay today? What are the lowest cost/good solutions?

The poor man’s answer to this is to wire up a tivo type DVR.
