  Installing Panther

  Yep I know…I’m behind the times. Here’s my situation. I have a Mac G4 1.42 Ghz. I use it primarily to edit on Media 100i. I’ve got a SCSI chain attached to this system. A while back I bought Panther, but I’m afraid to install it. My system is working flawlessly. I’m afraid that something will go missing ie; drivers, programs, etc. Here’s some questions:

  1. Where do I find info on all the firmware and drivers that are on my Mac just in case I need to update them?
  2. What would be the best “safest” way to install Panther?
  3. What should I watch out for?
  4. Am I making too much of this? Should it be seamless?
