    Installing Materials

    Hi, I’m a newbie when it comes to Cinema 4D. I found some materials I want to include in my project but I don’t know how to install them.
    When I load the material preset (the .c4d file) it just loads black.

    My system is an iMac 2.93Ghz Intel Core i7 8GB RAM, Cinema 4D R12

    did you open the file with the via the main File/Open or by using Create/Load Materials… in the Material Manager?

    I used load material presets in the media manager.
    I also tried double clicking the file and that’ll bring the material into the project. I can got to save material from there but that doesn’t seem like it would be the easiest way to do it.
