Installing latest FCP Studio
I am currently using FCP academic version and just bought the FCP Studio. I know that the academic version can not be upgraded. I wanted to know if there are any pitfalls with installing the new version or should I take some precautions by moving the older version etc. Also any tips on how to transfer the many plugins I already have installed?

A clean install is always best. Second best is using the free app FCP Remover from https://www.digitalrebellion.com, then installing.
As far as the filters are concerned, you’re on your own there…
