I’ve installed a lot of fonts through fontbook on our new MacPros but they aren’t appearing in applications. We didn’t have this problem with our G5 systems. Is there something about font installing that is different on the new machines?

    Thanks,
    Jaeson

Run font book and check that the fonts are validated – you might have some bad fonts in there. Nothing special about font installation, beyond restarting the app.

I’ve done the validation, removed any fonts that were flagged but things still don’t work correctly. Both of our MacPros exhibit the same problem with fonts.

Can I reinstall the OSX fonts from the install discs without re-installing everything else?
