I’ve just bought Final Effects Complete for FCP and After Effects. I’ve run the installer, which worked fine, but when I run FCP and AE I can’t find any of the effects!

The FEC plug-ins are in the correct place in AE and FCP, but they don’t show in the effects menus.

    Has anyone any ideas?

I’m running FCP 6.0.1 and AE CS3 on OSX 10.4.10

    Hi,

Well the root of the problem is that you are attempting to use FEC on MacOSX in hosts that require Universal Binary (UB) filters. Unfortunately the version of FEC that you have is not going to work in these hosts as the filters that you purchased are non-UB compatible.

We are in the process of completing the work which will make the FEC filters fully compatible with the hosts that you are using on the platform that you are working with, meaning that the FEC filters will be Universal Binary with the next release.

If you purchased recently you will most likely qualify for a free upgrade to the UB version when it is released.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

OK, thanks. I checked on the site and there’s no mention of this.
