You should be able to daisy chain your drives without worring about dropped frames.
The best investment I got was Wiebetech’s ComboDock. It allows me to hook up bare IDE Hard Drives via FW 800. I also have the SATA adapter to hook up SATA drives to it.
I also just picked a 120GB SATA on-the-go bus powered FW 800 OWC for $175.

June 1, 2007 at 11:26 amI have a MBP with Studio 1 on it and installed the entire Studio 2 on it with no problem. I think it throws out a lot of the old files from 1 when it installs 2. I also have Aperture on the machine , not too much hd space left now !
