January 28, 2009 at 1:06 amI has same problem, after 4 hours going back and foward i found out the problem, its very simple to resolve…
1st: you will have to download soemthing from Microsoft called ” Windows Installer CleanUp Utility”
Link for the CleanUP : https://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
2nd: You will have to download this Adobe software cleanup from the Adobe page, it will delete all temporary files from adobe including saved files” make sure you backup your files that is located in any of Adobe files”
NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR ADOBE PREMIERE CS3 NOT CS4!!
Link for the Adobe Cleanup: https://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html
MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE WINDOWS VERSION IF YOU ARE A WINDOWS USERMAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE CLEANUP FOR WINDOWS FIRST, OTHERWISE THE ADOBE CLEANUP WILL NOT WORK, EXTRACT THE FILES FROM THE ADOBE CLEANUP AND OPEN AS ADMINISTRATOR THE FILE CALLED “CS3CLEAN”
THE FOLLOWING SCREEN PRESS (Y)
THE REST ARE ALL (NO)
WHEN IT ASK FOR YOU TO CHOOSE 1 FOR SOEMTHING ELS OR 2 FOR SOME OTHER THING MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE 2
WHEN YOU GET TO THE POINT WHERE IT ASKS YOU TO WRITE GO, THATS WHEN ITS ALL DONE REMOVING THE FILES…
CLOSE THE SCREEN AND DO ALL SAME PROCESS BUT STEAD OF CHOOSING 2 YOU WILL CHOOSE 3….IT DOES NOT ASK YOU TO BUT THATS WHAT ADOBE TECHINCAL SUPPORT TOLD ME….AFTER ALL DONE…..DO IT AGAIN AND PRESS 4…IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME….AFTER THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO TURN OFF USER ACCOUNT CONTROL BY GOING TO YOUR USER SCREEN AND TURNING TO OFF THE (UAC)
AFTER THAT ITS ALL DONE, INSTALL YOUR ADOBE SOFTWARE AND YOU WILL BE GOOD TO GO, REMEMBER TO ALWAYS RESTART THE COMPUTER WHEN IT ASK YOU.
