install issues
I am trying to install media composer 5 on my mac book pro laptop
mac OS x 10.6.8I keep getting a error message as it is almost finished that says install failed.
I have removed everything avid related, drivers etc on the machine, many restarts but still can’t get the software to install.
I am missing something

Avid is not qualified to run on 10.6.8, but does work fine on 10.6.7.

I stupidly updated. Do I need to reinstall everything to go back to 10.6.7?

I thought I would have to go back to 10.6.7 but I downloaded Media Composer 5.0.4 from the AVID store and it worked like a charm. 5.0 install from disk wouldn’t work but the 5.0.4 did and it has been rock solid

i’m on mc 5.5.2. i’ve also heard reports of vo breaking with fcs 3.
