Inspiration vs copyright infringement ?
I’m new here , so pardon me if this is the wrong forum ! I just want to know if it is okay to be inspired by other peoples work without using any files or vectors that belong to others , but by creating similar graphics and using similar effects ? What is okay and what is not regarding copyright !
PS : i know this isnt a legal forum , but i believe people with experience in this specific field can help from their experience 🙂

Can’t speak to any specifics, but look at it through this lens.
Musical composers all use the same notes, and often notate the same way, on a music staff. It’s “stealing the melody” that is the issue, not the building blocks. There isn’t a copyright necessarily on the way of doing something, but on the final product.
To use an classic example, you can do an open credits overture graphic that fades off into infinity, but that doesn’t violate any Star Wars copyrights. Combine it with John Williams’ music, Star Wars characters, etc. – then you have an issue.
