Trying to work out the effect of the camera being inside a computer monitor looking out at the face of the person typing lines of computer code. I can easily animate the lines of code being typed, flipped horizontally of course, with some transparency, but my hang-up is the effect of looking through the monitor screen.

I’ve actually tried shooting through glass placed in front of the person, but the glass doesn’t really show up at all. Maybe I’m overthinking what it should look like.

My other thought is to do a rack focus between the person typing, and the code that is being typed on the screen.

Any ideas or experience with such?
