I am looking to create an insertion device in a few car dealership waiting areas. Basically I want to insert their info into regular cable programming in waiting/service areas.

What would be a good way to go about this? I was thinking screw the when. I could simply have a system that at a predetermined time simply interrupts the signal every ten minutes and plays a spot either off a computer or DVD player. Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this best? I could also use a device to sniff the tones for local insertion on a cable channel and use that couldn’t I?

    Check out https://AdtecInc.com
They have systems for insertion using predetermined times and cable sensors. Note: the cable sensors are usually stripped from the output to subscribors, so it usually has to be set with the cable companies to get that subscription to sniff as you may say the sensors. Adtec will help you with this information.
