    Hello

I have set up my audio tracks following the advice given to me in this forum…thank you.

But I have a question..Track One is for dialog…well some scenes have no dialog so should I insert silence in the track or does premiere pro read nothing on the track as silence…and would I have to do this on all tracks?

    Thank you.

There is no need to insert silence. Premiere interprets nothing a silence. Only put audio in where you need it.

What would you have used for silence and how would you have made it if you had to insert “silence” ?

How would you have known if it was in synch or even if it was actually where you placed it in the timeline ?

BTW: A “silent” clip has the same filesize as a “noisy” clip.

    🙂

Sorry to intrude into this discussion but is there a way of adding a short silent clip like I can add blank black clips? I want to use it as a kind of spacer for using with Ripple Delete. It’s like a digital video version of a bookend to keep a space open between books/clips. Thanks
