December 28, 2006 at 9:38 amYou know I have a PCMCIA adator card for my Laptop that allows insert Compact Flash into it and then into the PCMCIA slot in my Power Book. Do you think it would be posable for Panny to create the new smaller cards which can insert into an older PCMCIA adator card that then slides into the camera. It seems like that would be an easier way for the future.

December 28, 2006 at 5:14 pmAs I stated, duel systems has an PC Card to ExpressCard/34 adapter in beta testing for release early in January.
It will permit transfer of p2 cards specifically to the MacBook Pro.
Seems like a pretty solution to me.

It specifically mentions P2 cards. Other adaptors in the marketplace that use compact flash cards and other types of media have been directed toward the still photographer market.

December 29, 2006 at 11:12 pmMy mistake – When I called them and inquired about this, it won’t accept PCMCIA memory cards. (P.S. I was sent there by a Panasonic dealer)

As I understood it, it would be available in very limited quantities in January, and February for most of us. They were waiting for the latest P2 driver from Panasonic, which I took to mean the one that supports the upcoming 16GB cards…
