inserting only video
hi
I would like to insert video onto a Beta tape; however, I would like to keep the audio (and timecode) as it is on the tape already and only lay over the new modified video.
can anyone tell me, how can I accomplish this?

In Edit to Tape, go to Edit Mode in the drop down menu. Uncheck all the audio patches in the lower right corner. Enter in the TC in and out that you would like to insert in the TC fields. Then drag and drop the marked clip you wish to insert into the Clip Overlay > Insert.
I just did this a couple of weeks ago and it works fine.

And of course you have to have a Beta Recorder capable of insert edits.
