    Hi!

Could you pls help me with next thing:

I need to rotate movie (make vertical orientation of screen), with reducing width of film to height of screen. And then insert some static images into free space of screen (top and bottom in vertical screen orientation).
I know how to rotate movie, but about inserting images – no ideas….
    Could you pls help me?

    Thanks.

In FCP you can rotate objects inside a screen that conforms to one of the video standards, but you cannot rotate the screen itself.

You’ll have to use something like After Effects to achieve what you want to do.

Or do it in Motion. You can define the aspect just the way you want to (in the project properties).
If you have FCP 6 then you also have Motion (3).
