    Is there a quick and easy way to insert a spot light somehow automatically allign itself to perpendicular orientation to the select polygon surface and illuminates that surface?

    If the that polygon rotates, then light rotates to keep its 90 degree angle to the polygon surface.

    You can solve this with a bit of Xpresso using the polygon node, the normal output for the polygon and the vector2HPB node.
