  insert multicam in and out selection into sequence from source monitor?

  I have created a multicam sequence and have started editing it in a timeline. I want to match frame into the source monitor (which works). But when insert (.) it inserts all the 3 camera angles within the multicam NOT the single layer multicam (of the 3 angles). Why is that? How can I do this?
