When I was using CS6 I often found myself using the insert clip shortcut ‘,’ but now i’m on CC it doesn’t seem to be working quite the same, can anyone help?

So in the source monitor i’ll select an in and out point and press ‘,’ to insert the clip to timeline – simple right? now before i could just continue playing that same clip in the source monitor and repeat the insert clip process for another shot but now on CC after I insert the clip it somehow deselects that clip in the source monitor so I have to physically select it again if I want to keep looking through that clip for another shot to insert. Its just something thats really bugging me and slowing down my workflow.

    Thanks

Why is it that if something is not working its called a bug…….

There is a setting in the Preferences/general: Set focus on the timeline when performing inserts/overwrites. Turn that off.
