INSANE audio issue….
This one is really weird. I’m hoping someone has an answer for me.
I just got done editing a 5 minute video that is pretty much just a talking head with some b-roll. It’s a marketing thing for our web site.
When we shot the video, we were unable to turn off the air handlers in the room (maintenance guys has the day off and we don’t have a real studio…we do what we can with what we have).
So I thought, no big deal, I’ll fix it in post.
I just finished all of the video/graphics editing, so I exported a AIFF audio file and brought it into soundtrack pro. I set the noise print, reduced the audio, and got it sounding pretty decent.
Here is where it gets weird.
I then exported the audio from soundtrack pro as an AIF and brought it back in to Final Cut Pro.
about a minute into the video, the audio starts to slip out of sync. It progressively gets worse and by the end of the clip, the audio is 9 frames out of sync (audio comes in late).
However, when I have both tracks on my timeline and display waveforms, (original in A1 and A2 – Edited in A3 and A4), the waveforms are lined up perfectly.
Anybody have a clue why this is happening and how I can fix it, rather than manually taking out a frame of audio every 30 seconds?
