Input on building a new Final Cut system
The cow is great and I have used it many times to look for solution. This is my first post on this site. Currently my shop has two Final Cut Studio editing system and it is time to add a new one. Instead of just copying them I am seeking out others on what other users would suggest. Always looking for fresh input, especially when there so many option. We shoot on Sony EX cameras and Sony HD XDCAM. The budget is around $25,000. We have to jump around allot from project to project, so I know I will probably get at least 3 Terabits. We mainly produce training programs, 27 years in the business I still want to call them training tapes/films. It use to be so much easier to select your needs in the old linear years. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would buy a NEW Mac through ProMax.

They can get you a perfect system for your budget. They have the RAID drives and XSERVE if you need it. I have pruchased several systems from them and they are very helpful. The customer support is top notch as well.
Let me know if you ever need an off-sight editor to help cut your training videos. Did you know that editing can be done remotely now? You can even watch the screen as the footage is edited.
