    hmmm…thats odd try this line http://www.d-kitchen go to work then advertising and watch “Jade Empire” the end clip has the ink effects I was talking about

    Ink effects are usually practical (shot), and this one looks to me as if it were shot.

    yeah thats what I figured so what I am going to do is use some ink vectors from illustrator and use a gradient wipe with some cloud tank effects to cheat it, but thanks for your input I just wanted to know if there was a cheat in AE beside what I am doing.

    I made a number videos a few years ago that uses ink as a mask for effects. Once you shoot it, the sky is the limit. Check out the following link for still images:

    I’m shooting ink in water at the moment.. Do you have any useful tips and hints?

    So far I’ve discovered the joys of a catheter and the differences between using cold ink/warm water and warm ink/cold water..

    Use a very clean tank / glass, but try to minimize reflections. Shoot at high frame rates if possible in order to see the true beauty unfold, then you can speed it up as much as you want later on.
