Inheriting an OLD Avid Express
I’m inheriting an old Avid Express running on version 6.0.something. The editor above me is getting a new Adrenaline and I get his old Express.
I want to upgrade the CPU with either a new mother board or a whole new one.
Can anyone give me the who, what, and where to get started on this? I’m considering a BoxxTech CPU. Any suggestions would be great.

Avid’s certified system of choice is the HP xw8200 (before that the xw8000). They used to use Compaq EVO’s and IBM Intellistations before that. I suggest contacting an ACSR at your nearest Reseller and picking their brain about what to get. Then go with those suggestions.
