    Starting third project with Premier/CS5.

I’m ingesting AVCHD MTS files from my hardrive but most of the clips do not play the audio associated with them. This never happened on my previous projects.

Audio is on the original MTS files because I used Quicktime Player to preview them before starting the project.

Not sure what might be going on here.

Can you see the waveforms? If so, load a clip in the timeline and send the audio off to Audition (render and replace operation) and see if you can hear it there. That’s where I’d start.

    Hi Mark,

With AVCHD, or any tapeless format, the best practice is to copy the entire folder structure from memory card to hard drive – do not pick just the video files. Then in Premiere, use Media Browser pane to import clips.

    Hope this helps
