    Hi everyone,

I wonder if anybody has done any ingesting of growing files
from a Sony disk recorder (DSR-DR1000AP). This could either be
via re-wrapping the file or accessing the disk recorders
    hardware from within FCP.
Important is that the file has not got a fixed file size with
an in/out, it’s a live recorded track that grows over time
and should be accessed as such within FCP. The problem I have
is that we use FileZilla (connected via Ethernet) which gets
the file into the computer. From there you can import the file
in FCP, once you load it into the player window it stops updating
    itself.

A theory could be that this is a DV stream, which does not have
a header that tells the software to keep the file growing over
    time.
My question: is there any re-wrapping software that can deal with
growing file sizes? I heard about MovieRecorder from Softron and
Quick Time reference files and was wondering, if anybody has dealt
    with it.

    Thanks for your time. Cheers

    Frank
