    Hi,

We are shooting a feature on B&W Infrared (RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC2 BRAIN with HELIUM 8K S35 Monochrome Sensor), and I am wondering – do you think it is worth digitizing at a higher resolution than DNX 36?

I know that Infrared is prone to hot spots, and other issues.

I am wondering if DNX 80 or 115 would help to spot these issues, so that we do not discover them during the conform.

    Thanks,

    Gary

I would not recommend DNx 80 as it is for thin raster codec. Go DNxHD 115.
