  Information graphic work flow

  Hi,

  I have been making charts in illustrator and then importing them into InDesign for final layout. I find this the best work flow to aid design, however I have received charts in Excel and even in InDesign as “grouped” text boxes. Am I wrong with my Illustrator-to-InDesign work-flow? is there an industry standard preferred work flow for creating charts?
