More a “What If” than a practical question. suppose I made a small loop of a section of road with white lines zipping by, say using the Offset on a dashed stroke, and made it so they lined up so it looked like the road was continuing if the little section was tiled. Is there any way to use code or an effect to say “duplicate this X number of times in Y direction” to create the effect of the road running off into the distance?

You may want to play around with the Motion Tile effect. I use it almost weekly, and believe there is an offset effect (that can be used once you precomp your road tile…

    Hope this helps!

I ended up getting the effect I wanted with CC_RepeTile, actually, but MotionTile works too! Thanks!
