Macbook Pro 10.5.8.
Made copy of my windows xp machine documents folder at work onto usb drive.
Opened some word documents on my mac.
When attempting to clean up usb drive, ran into a folder called k-1-3542-4232123213-7676767-8888886.
Inside was an exe file that at first I couldn’t empty from trash.
But option key FINDER> empty trash got rid of that.
But I still can’t trash folder. The folder is empty but clearly has bad intentions.Is it dangerous to the mac or to my files at work. What do you advise?

Did a little research. Read that this bug will not infest Macs. Empty folder would not go to trash. Weird. Copied my files off USB drive to desktop and reformatted USB drive fat32. Copied files back. When mounted in windows xp, Norton and windows defender found no bugs on USB drive or on xp system drive.
Must have picked up bug when I put USB drive in a colleague’s laptop to copy a file.
