inefficient – marker driven animation based on sourcerectattime
Hi all. this is more of an exercise in efficiency because the expressions are theoretically working. It’s just built the wrong way.
( see enclosed project )
I had used these expressions in other projects for similar workflows. In this one, I have 4 markers driving animation, ( in the past I only had 2 markers ), so in this case I had duplicated my null that drives the animation with 2 markers. And then I parented that first null to the new null.
So in doing this, I broke my starting position ( which needs to always be a fixed position ) I know this is the part I did wrong but I didnt know what else to do.
and the ending position is based on text length.
( And FYI we are also looking only at the 2 second mark so that the animation of the text is not considered at all. )
so i had to put on an expression on my startng position to kind of reverse the damage I did when I added markers 3 and 4.
So does anyone know if there is a way to make this more streamlined ? It seems quite messy
Thanks for any insight. Like I said, this works, so its not an urgent matter at all.
