    Industry standards?

    Is there a industry standard for developing short intros and bumpers for web videos? If not, what are the commonly used programs to do this? Maya and Cinema 4D?

    For web videos, there are technological standards, but not content standards. The technology standards would be your playing technologies (flash and html5), your containers (mov, mp4, wmv), and your codecs (h264, webm, and many more).

    There are tons of commonly used programs for creating intros and bumpers. If you want it in motion graphics you can use maya, max, blender, xsi, c4d and more; whichever floats your boat. Each has it’s own strength. C4D has some great motion graphic tools. Maya is stronger on a full scale studio pipeline, or in character animation. You can also do stuff in after effects, apple motion, or even editing NLEs.
